Meta is launching the Instagram Creator Marketplace to eight new regions, including India, the company announced earlier this week. The platform was first launched in the U.S. two years ago by Facebook parent company as a portal for brands to discover and connect with creator accounts for branded content or collaborative advertising. Instagram users who generate content can also create a portfolio for their posts and indicate brands or interests that interest them.

Previously limited to creators in the United States, Meta will now invite creators and brands from those countries to access the platform “in the coming weeks.”

On the Instagram Creator Marketplace, brands will be able to see content creators who have signed up to use the platform. Their follower count, participating accounts, and audience demographic details will also be displayed. The portal allows companies to filter creators by gender, age, followers, country, interests and portfolio. They can choose to bookmark them or send them a message from the same page.

Companies can contact creators via Partner information under the folder basic or all tags in their Instagram direct messages, according to Meta. The entire process of evaluating prices and requirements for branded content or partnership advertising can be completed within the Instagram app, the company said.
