Instagram is launching ‘Write with AI’ feature: How it will work

Instagram is reportedly working on a feature that will allow users to compose messages with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). App researcher Alessandro Paluzzi shared a screenshot showing the option to “Write with AI” when sending messages to other users. “Instagram is working on the ability to write messages with artificial intelligence,” Paruzzi wrote on X.

He added that it might “interpret your information in a different style, similar to how Google’s Magic Compose works.”

Meta is slowly introducing new experiences with new generative AI capabilities that expand and enhance the way people connect with each other. Meta AI is an assistant that allows you to chat one-on-one or send messages in group chats.

It can give you advice in a pinch, make you laugh when you need a good joke, settle debates in group chats, and generally answer questions or teach you something new.

“We are currently only launching AI in the United States. To interact with Meta AI, start a new message on our messaging platform and select “Create AI Chat,” or enter “@MetaAI” in a group chat.” Meta AI Assistant Coming soon to WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, there are also dozens of AI characters based on celebrities like MrBeast and Charli D’Amelio.

Some of Meta AI’s characters are played by well-known public figures, including Tom Brady as Blue, a wisecracking sports debater; MrBeast as Zach, a big brother who roasts you; and Naomi Osaka as Tammy. Ka, a role-playing expert obsessed with anime.

“Reels in Meta AI can help you decide where to visit based on video reviews, learn a new dance from tutorial videos, or provide some inspiration for a project you’re working on,” the company said.
