Indore man kills two people over love affair, commits suicide: Police

A pistol-wielding man shot a woman and her male friend to death after an argument in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore city on Thursday and then ended his own life with the same gun, which police suspect was The consequences of a love triangle. An official said this.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Man Abhishek Yadav (26) shot dead woman Snehlata Jat (22) and her friend Deepak Jat (25) Hrishike using a country-made pistol at the Swaminarayan temple complex on Khandwa Road Hrishikesh Meena told PTI.

He said he then shot himself with the same pistol, which was recovered by police.

Officers said that on the surface the tragic incident looked like the aftermath of a love triangle, but investigations were ongoing to determine the exact cause of the killing.

According to witnesses, the three men talked for about 30 minutes before things got out of hand and a murder-suicide occurred.

“Abhishek Yadav and Snehrata became friends two years ago. However, recently Snehrata started distancing herself from the accused, which made him very upset,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Anand Ya Duff said.

The accused first fired two shots at Deepak Jat. The police officer said a terrified Snehlata Jat clung to him before he too shot her twice.

After killing the two, Abhishek Yadav fled in panic and ended up at a private college, where he put the pistol to his temple and pulled the trigger, he added.
