The first I2U2 summit was held on July 14, 2022, establishing the group.

Washington:

The White House said the alliance between India, Israel, the United Arab Emirates and the United States remains a priority for the Biden administration and will not be sidelined by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters at the White House on Wednesday that the I2U2 organization remains vital and that President Joe Biden is “firmly committed to making sure we continue” the organization.

Asked whether the group had taken a backseat or was no longer active as a result of the Israel-Hamas conflict, the official said, “No, not at all, it remains a priority.”

“I2U2 remains vital and the President is deeply committed to ensuring that we continue to deliver I2U2, obviously through partnerships between our four countries and beyond, advancing through innovative, inclusive and science-based solutions… Let’s not forget , strengthening food and energy security, space operations and other enterprises, advancing projects in water conservation, waste management and other areas,” said Jean-Pierre.

As a result, I2U2 has a bright future and “we look forward to continuing this partnership,” and that it is not on hold, White House officials said. “It certainly remains a priority,” Jean-Pierre said.

The first I2U2 summit was held on July 14, 2022, establishing the group.

The grouping identifies bankable projects and initiatives to address some of the biggest challenges facing the world, with a particular focus on joint investments and new initiatives in water, energy, transport, space, health, food security and technology.
