Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday expressed hope that the BJP-led government will again get the blessings of the people and get an overwhelming mandate in the upcoming general elections. Lok Sabha elections will be held in the coming months. “Based on a job well done, we expect that our government will once again be blessed by the people and receive a resounding mandate,” she said.

She also said that India has overcome the challenges of Covid-19 and laid the foundation for India to be self-reliant. Sitharaman said India faced huge challenges when the Modi government came to power in 2014, but it overcame them seriously.
