Google Pixel 8 users and more get big security update with latest fixes: all the details

Google has released a new update for Pixel users who have been using the Android 14 version. The company has released the February 2024 security patch with some important fixes for issues reported over the past few weeks. The latest update doesn’t offer a lot of features, which is why it’s less than 30 MB in size, but it seems that most Pixel users who are eligible for the Android 14 version will receive the update this week.

While Google isn’t delivering new features with this update, the company is addressing about 15 security issues that range from high to severe for Pixel users.

How to install the February 2024 Pixel update

– Go to Settings in your Pixel phone

– Scroll down to System and click System Update

– The phone will automatically check for updates

– Click to install Android 14 patch and restart the device

As we mentioned, Pixel 8 models received an over-the-air (OTA) update this week with a package size of 26.27 MB, confirming details of the update that includes a security patch. That being said, some Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro models will receive camera, Wi-Fi performance, and display-related fixes with this patch.

And users of Pixel Fold will see better external display capabilities after installing the patch. These features are available to Pixel users through the Pixel Drop update released in January. With this update, people are starting to search using artificial intelligence features like Circle on Pixel 8 Pro models.
