Pakistan cricket, often in disarray, is currently battling the return of Babar Azam as captain and Shaheen Afridi was sacked as T20 captain after just one game . Some former cricketers have been critical of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s handling of the captain’s matter.

Announcing the captaincy change, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said Babar’s reinstatement was a “strategic move” to ensure the health and optimal performance of the players.

However, former captain Misbah-ul-Haq had a different view on the captaincy change and said such a decision could affect the payers.
