Arnold Schwarzenegger was reportedly a Hollywood actor that producers wanted to play in his project, but the project fell through. In a media interaction, Shankar said, “We thought of casting Arnold. We also had conversations and allotted dates. But somehow things didn’t work out because the contracts between Hollywood and India were contradictory. So we Consider looking for good casting from the Indian film industry.”

He revealed that the actor was in touch with Lyca Productions, the producers of the Hindi version of Kaththi 2.0, which strongly recommended Akshay for the role. Gradually, he handed over the script to Akshay and the actor signed the film.
