Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that the foundation of Vikit India rests on four major pillars which are poor, farmers, youth and women empowerment.
The Prime Minister said, “The foundation of a developed India rests on four major pillars – poor, farmers, youth and women empowerment. These columns are central for their government’s policies, with special priority to the welfare of farmers,”
He said that to reduce the financial burden on farmers, the Government of India has spent about 12 lakh crore rupees in the last 10 years to provide affordable fertilizers.
The PM commented that thousands of new and advanced seed varieties have been distributed to farmers, which increases agricultural productivity.
The PM said that under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana, farmers in Andhra Pradesh received claim settlements of Rs 5,500 crore.
He said, “In addition, under PM Kisan Saman Nodi, more than Rs 17,500 crore has been transferred directly to the accounts of millions of farmers in Andhra Pradesh, which ensured financial assistance for their livelihood.”
Emphasizing that India is rapidly expanding irrigation projects across the country, as well as starting a river-linking initiative to reach water as well as not to reach every farm and farmers do not face water scarcity, PM Modi underlined that with the formation of the new state government, the Polvaram project has gained fresh momentum.
PM Modi said that millions of people in Andhra Pradesh will see their lives changing their lives by this project. He confirmed that his government was fully supporting the state government to expedite the completion of the Polamram project.
The Prime Minister said that by strengthening many industries, large -scale infrastructure projects benefit raw materials such as cement, steel and transport services.
He stressed that infrastructure development directly benefits the youth of India, which creates more employment opportunities.
He commented that thousands of youth in Andhra Pradesh are getting new job possibilities through these ongoing infrastructure projects.
Emphasizing that in the last 10 years, India has focused on the physical, digital and social infrastructure on a large scale, PM Modi highlighted that India is now one of the fastest modern infrast structure countries in the world, and Andhra Pradesh is benefiting from this progress.
PM Modi said that road and railway projects have been allotted to Andhra Pradesh at a price of thousands of crores, which has accelerated its development.
He said, “Andhra Pradesh is looking at a new era of connectivity, which will increase the district-to-district link and improve connectivity with neighboring states”, he said, farmers will be easy to reach big markets, and industries will benefit from better logical efficiency.
PM Modi also said that tourism and pilgrimage areas will also gain momentum, which will make the major religious places more accessible.
He cited the Reniganta-Nadupaeta highway as an example, saying that it would reduce the access to Tirupati Balaji Shrine, allowing devotees to visit Lord Venkateshwar Swami in a very short time.
The Prime Minister inaugurated, laid the foundation stone and dedicated several development projects of the nation, which is more than Rs 58,000 crore in Amravati, Andhra Pradesh.
PM Modi said that the capital of ‘Indralok’ was named Amravati, and it is no coincidence that Amravati is the capital of Andhra Pradesh, saying that the city will be where the dreams of the youth will be fulfilled.
“Amravati was the name of the capital of Indralok, and it is not just a coincidence that Amravati is the capital of Andhra Pradesh. It is a sign of the establishment of ‘Golden Andhra’.
Apart from this, the Prime Minister said that the Center has increased all possible assistance for the construction of Amravati from 2014 to 2019.
“NTR Garu conceived a vibrant and developed Andhra Pradesh. Simultaneously, let us try to convert Amravati and Andhra Pradesh into a major development engine for the nation. It is our responsibility to fulfill NTR Garu’s funded dream,” the PM said.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi was in Kerala and dedicated the Vijinjam International Dipwatter multipurpose seport to the nation in Thiruvananthapuram for a price of Rs 8,800 crore.
Addressing the gathering on the auspicious occasion of Bhagwan Adi Shankaracharya’s birth anniversary, the Prime Minister said that three years ago, in September, he had the privilege of visiting the revered birthplace of Aadi Shankaracharya.
He expressed happiness that a grand statue of Adi Shankaracharya has been installed in his parliamentary constituency, Vishwanath Dham campus in Kashi.
PM Modi emphasized that this establishment is a tribute to Adi Shankaracharya’s immense spiritual knowledge and teachings.
He further said that he was also respected to unveil the divine statue of Adi Shankaracharya in the holy Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand.
The Prime Minister said that today is another special occasion because the doors of Kedarnath temple have been opened to devotees.
Prime Minister Modi underlined that Aadi Shankaracharya, born from Kerala, established monasteries in various corners of the country, awakened the consciousness of the nation.
PM Modi highlighted the huge ocean, rich in immense possibilities, stands on one side, while on the other hand, the breathtaking beauty of nature adds to grandeur.
In the midst of all this, he emphasized that Vijinjam Deep-Water C Port has now emerged as a symbol of the development of the new era. He congratulated the people of Kerala and the entire nation on this remarkable achievement.
The Vijinjam Deep-Water C Port has been developed at a cost of Rs 8,800 crore, the Prime Minister commented that the capacity of this transmission hub would be triple in the coming years, which would enable the smooth arrival of some of the world’s largest cargo ships in the world.
He said that 75 percent of India’s transpiration operations were first conducted at foreign ports, which led to significant revenue loss for the country.
Emphasizing that this situation is now determined to change, PM Modi claimed that India’s money will now serve India, and once the money flowing outside the country will now create new economic opportunities for the people of Kerala and Visinjam. (AI)
