Visitors to Delhi’s famous metro station can experience “driving” a train as the DMRC has installed interactive museum exhibits to interact more with passengers and common people.

The exhibits were unveiled at Shivaji Stadium Metro station on Wednesday in the presence of Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

The simulator consists of a screen and a joystick that visitors can pull to get an immersive experience of “sitting in the driver’s seat of a train,” with actions translated to a screen with simulated visuals. In addition, through widescreen interactive digital displays mounted on information kiosks, visitors can explore DMRC’s history from its founding in 1995 to the first groundbreaking on October 1, 1998, and its opening in December 2002 The first corridor.

People can also take the online test in the Delhi Metro through a kiosk, officials said. Another large screen displays the subway network and marks nearby tourist attractions with icons, which can be clicked to see detailed information about these attractions. In addition, a huge working model depicts the trains, underground and elevated tracks, bridges and viaducts in the station’s interactive area.

A number of sniffer dogs deployed as part of CISF security cover were also demonstrated at the site. Apart from the existing Delhi Metro Museum at the Patel Chowk station, exhibits at the Shivaji Stadium Metro station have also been installed. Officials said the museum, which has been under construction since 2009, has limited space.
