Sir Elton John, who was born on March 25, 1947, just celebrated his 77th birthday on Monday, when he received the love of his partner of thirty years, David Furnish.

Furnish, 61, shared a heartwarming tribute to John on Instagram, along with a playful photo of the music icon wearing his signature quirky sunglasses and humorously holding a miniature statue of himself in his mouth .

“Happy birthday to my irresponsible husband @Eltonjohn,” Furnish, 61, hilariously began the caption.

He continued: “You were the best father, the hardest working artist and musician, the generous humanitarian, the loving partner and the most loyal friend.”

“Wishing you the healthiest and happiest birthday on your 77th birthday,” he concluded.

John reciprocated the sentiment by reposting Furnish’s affectionate message on his Instagram Story, adding, “Love you @Davidfurnish. Always finding my best angles.”
