India captain Rohit Sharma made a special appearance on the season premiere of YouTube talk show Breakfast with Champions. Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajid and daughter Samaira also accompanied him for the special programme. However, to double the fun, renowned British musician Ed Sheeran also joined Rohit and hosted Gaurav Kapoor for an entertaining conversation about cricket, music and more. During the show, Hiran also fulfilled Samaira’s wish and sang a song for her. The 33-year-old singer performed a verse from his hit song “Bad Habits.”

“My bad habit ended up being alone late at night. Talking to a stranger I barely knew. Swearing it would be the last time, but probably not, I had nothing left to lose, use or do. My bad Habit guides you,” Sheeran sings.

A video of the same went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Rohit is currently playing for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Rohit, who lost the captaincy to Hardik Pandya ahead of the 2024 IPL season, has been playing as a pure batsman this time around.

He scored 38 off 24 balls as MI beat RCB at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday.

After the IPL, Rohit will lead the Indian team in the T20 World Cup in West Indies and the United States.

However, talks have been ongoing over Rohit’s future with Team India.

In the same chat, Rohit talked about his future and said that he has no thoughts of retiring at the moment.

The 36-year-old said he is determined to help India win next year’s T20 World Cup as well as the World Test Championship (WTC).

“I haven’t really thought about retiring. But, I don’t know where life takes you. I’m still playing pretty well right now – so I think I’ll keep going for a few more years and then, I don’t know. I’m really Want to win the World Cup, and there is also the WTC final in 2025, I hope India can win it,” Rohit replied.

Under Rohit, India lost the ODI World Cup and WTC final to Australia last year.
