From today, the online marketplace has removed any fees on the sale of second-hand clothes in a bid to prevent clothing from entering the market. landfill.

Kirsty Keoghan, global general manager of fashion at eBay, said: “For a country with billions of pounds worth of discarded clothes, the free fashion sale couldn’t come at a better time.

“We know selling clothes can sometimes feel like a chore, so free sales and new updates like new AI listings will help more of us sell clothes easily, putting more cash in their pockets.

“By encouraging more people to buy and sell second-hand clothes, we will keep more clothes out of landfill, while together we enable a circular economy for fashion.”
