Electronic Arts has released more details about its upcoming Formula 1 racing simulation game EA Sports F1 24, along with a new trailer. First released in February, F1 24 will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X on May 31st, ahead of previous games in the series. EA detailed the game’s features and confirmed that players will be able to compete as a driver of their choice in the 2024 F1 season for the first time in career mode.

F1 24 brings a new dynamic control system, which can bring a more realistic F1 racing driving feeling. Comprehensive upgrades including new suspension kinematics, tire models, advanced aerodynamic simulations and new engine and car setup options. EA said: “All driving aspects have been improved, including cornering, rolling resistance, brake pressure, track ambient temperature and variable conditions, allowing drivers to receive immediate feedback to maximize their track performance ”

EA’s upcoming racing sim focuses on authenticity, revamping existing tracks to bring them closer to real-world tracks. Off the track, F1 24 will also feature a new broadcast demo pack, cutscenes and actual driver audio samples from F1 broadcasts for a more immersive experience.

Career mode has also been overhauled, EA said. In addition to racing as a player-created custom driver, players can also race as a real-life F1 driver from the 2024 season, or even an iconic F1 driver from the past. Career mode will also include new features such as match-day missions and contract objectives, helping players build reputations, long-term goals, two-player careers and more.
