And when he spoke about the return of his character Richard Baxter to the series, Peter explained: “It’s not for me, sadly, but Barbara and I were talking about ways we could bring me back into the series. I think one of the last things he says to her is, ‘Let me explain’.”

While waiting for his character’s redemption, the 73-year-old actor added: “I said, ‘Yeah, give me a chance to explain, let’s call me back so I can explain what was happening.’ So you know prima facie, he is just taking advantage or rather I don’t know how much he is taking advantage.”

“He’s selling them this story so he can get to know you, have beautiful dinners and dates with Barbara or maybe other women.”

“Beyond that, it’s certainly not clear what his intentions are. There’s no way he’s trying to extort money from them or anything like that. So I think maybe it’s an opportunity to explain that to them,” he said. Gotta get what they mean.” Added.

Additionally, the actor provided an insight into his character’s possible return, clarifying an extended story-line that ultimately leads to his character Richard Baxter and Anne Lloyd reuniting in prison.
