Amid ongoing farmers’ protests, senior Union ministers including Rajnath Singh and Arjun Munda on Wednesday held discussions on how to address the issues raised by farmers, while Another round of talks is likely to take place tomorrow.

On the other hand, chaos broke out at Haryana’s Sambhu border as security personnel hurled tear gas shells at protesting farmers on the second day of ‘Delhi Chalo’ march. Whenever the protesting farmers try to move towards the roadblocks, the police take action.

Farmers demanding a minimum support price law started marching towards Delhi after holding a meeting with a team of Union ministers on their demands.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha said the farmers will go to Delhi to urge the Center to accept their demands. The farmers also called for implementation of Swaminathan Commission recommendations, pension for farmers and farm workers, waiver of farm debts, withdrawal of police cases and “justice” for victims of Lakhimpur Kheri violence.
