Colin Ferrell releases big update on spin-off series batman The DC Universe franchise.

The 47-year-old actor will reprise his role as evil gangster Oswald “Ozzy” Cobblepot, aka “The Penguin,” in the upcoming Max series of the same name.

In the 2022 film, Oswald’s ruler Carmine Falcone, played by John Turturro, faces off against Bruce Wayne at the climax, leaving Colin’s character to pursue his own ambition.

“It’s the process by which a person achieves what he has always dreamed of in life, which is some kind of power or social status,” Ferrer explains.

“Carmine Falcone passed away at the end of the year [‘The Batman’] Gotham has left a vacuum that needs to be filled, so there are all kinds of people vying for that power,” the award-winning actor shared.

“This is Oswald’s journey as he attempts to overcome extraordinary obstacles to get to the top,” he added.
