Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan remain cordial despite legal battle

Even though Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced their divorce six years ago, the couple is still friendly to their 10-year-old daughter Everly, despite their ongoing legal dispute over money.

Tatum, 44, and Dewan, 43, who married in 2009 after meeting on the set of the 2006 film Step Up, have had financial disagreements, particularly over earnings. Magic Mike series, as the outlet previously reported.

The three films produced and starring Tatum made millions of dollars at the box office. There is also a live stage play in Las Vegas and a reality series inspired by the male stripper films.

In court filings, Dewan said Tatum obtained the intellectual property using “marital funds” and expressed a desire for an “equal division.”

However, following the former couple’s split in 2018, his camp claims that they have “made extensive efforts towards enhancing the Magic Mike intellectual property and related entities.”

After failing to reach an agreement during mediation, Tatum and Dewan will now move forward with the trial, which is scheduled to begin on December 8.

“Both would like to move past these final issues,” another source told the outlet. “Everyone loves someone and wants to move on.”
