A complaint has been lodged against Bharatiya Janata Party’s Hyderabad candidate K Madhavi Latha for hurting public opinion by making a gesture of shooting arrows at a mosque, police said on Sunday.

Police said the complaint alleged that on April 17, Madhavi Latha made a gesture of drawing an arrow and firing at a place of worship during the Ram Navami procession, hurting the community. mood.
The case was registered on April 20 under Section 295-A (intentional and malicious conduct calculated to outrage religious sentiments of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) of the Indian Penal Code, they said.
After the video went viral, Madhavi Latha posted on X that she noticed that an incomplete video of hers was being circulated to create negative sentiments.
“I want to clarify that this is an incomplete video and even if someone’s feelings are hurt because of a video like this, then I want to apologize because I respect everyone,” she said.
