Blake Shelton has praised Gwen Stefani’s performance at the recent Coachella festival.
In a new interview with And! newsShelton, who was not in attendance at the festival due to being in Las Vegas, praised Stefani’s performance after watching a video of her performance.
Shelton spoke about Stefani, saying, “You can tell they just have that energy and that connection with each other and I think it’s the best concert I’ve ever seen in my life. “
“It was unbelievable,” Shelton said. I was able to watch it on YouTube. it was incredible.”
The musician commented, “You can’t even imagine the rehearsals before that because he hasn’t played with those guys for the last nine years.”
Stefani reportedly made a surprise performance with Olivia Rodrigo at the festival on April 13.
Shelton said, “They had to go in there and dust off the music and start it all over again.”
Of note, Stefani also joined Shelton on stage at the grand opening of his bar last week.
Shelton quipped, “I felt guilty even asking her to do it, but not so guilty that I didn’t ask her.”
Reflecting on how Ole Red’s Sin City started, Shelton revealed that it was successful.
“During rehearsal, as soon as they opened the door, it was non-stop,” the musician shared.
“People like to have a Nashville connection in Las Vegas because a lot of country music fans come to Las Vegas,” Shelton told the outlet.
“Whether they’re coming to a concert or they’re just coming to Las Vegas because it’s Las Vegas. And to be able to take a break from gambling or whatever you’re doing out here and just have a beer and listen to some live country music is pretty special,” the musician said.
