BJP MP Hema Malini hopes for hat-trick

Actor and three-time BJP MP Hema Malini’s total assets are worth about Rs 123 crore, according to an affidavit filed with the Election Commission. Hema Malini will once again contest the Lok Sabha elections from Mathura constituency in Uttar Pradesh. Her debt is approximately Rs 14,000.

In the affidavit, she mentioned that acting was her profession and rental and interest income were her sources of income. Her husband, actor and former MP Dharmendra Deol’s source of income is acting income, pension and interest.

Hema Malini defeated Mathura in both the 2014 and 2019 elections. This time she’s looking for a hat-trick.

Her liabilities are around Rs 1.4 crore, while her husband’s liabilities are Rs 6.4 crore. His assets are worth 200 million rupees.

According to Hema Malini’s affidavit, there are no criminal cases pending against her. She received an honorary doctorate from Sir Padam Prasinghaniya University, Udaipur in 2012.

Hema Malini has Rs 1.35 crore in cash and Dharmendra Deol has Rs 4.30 lakh in cash. Hema Malini owns vehicles worth Rs 61 lakh, including Mercedes-Benz, Alcazar and Maruti EECO. Dharmendra Deol owns a Range Rover, Mahindra Bolero and a motorcycle.

A day before filing the document, Hema Malini prayed at Vishram Ghat on the banks of the Yamuna river. She told supporters that she would work very hard to ensure that pollutants were removed from the Yamuna.

The last date for filing nominations in Mathura is April 4. The temple city will go to polls in the second phase of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections. It’s June 4th.
