BJP calls Congress poll manifesto a 'bunch of lies'

BJP’s Sultanshu Trivedi says Congress has not fulfilled any of the promises made in its earlier manifesto

New Delhi:

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday termed the Congress party’s manifesto as a “package of lies” and alleged that the grand old party, which ruled the country for decades, had not fulfilled any of the promises made in its earlier manifestos for the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said the Congress party came up with such a poll manifesto to create confusion among voters.

“The Congress manifesto is a pack of lies. It is ready to create confusion among voters,” he said at a press conference at the BJP headquarters.

Trivedi said the Congress party, which has ruled the country for decades, is talking about “nyay” (justice) today, but its government did not deliver justice when it was in power.

“The Congress party has not fulfilled any of the promises made in its earlier manifesto for the Lok Sabha and Lok Sabha elections,” he claimed:
