Spotify has revealed that the Grammy-winning artist’s country album has become the most-streamed album in a single day so far in 2024, via The Hollywood Reporter.
This is Queen Bey’s first country album, a change from her usual R&B style music.The album is also the second part of a potential trilogy project following the 2022 album regeneration.
Cowboy Carter Special collaborations with big-name artists such as Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Willie Nelson and more.
The streaming giant admitted that this is the first time an album in the country music genre has used the title.
In addition to “Spotify,” Friday’s release also marks the singer’s biggest debut on Amazon Music to date. The platform also holds the record for the most first-day streams of a country album by a female artist in Amazon Music history.
Last year, Taylor Swift seemed to set the record straight after releasing her 2023 album in 1989 Re-record.
While Spotify didn’t reveal specific numbers, it claimed that Swift’s debut album was the hottest album of 2023 and the second-highest in history.
