Attacking the state’s All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Dilip Ghosh said the TMC government in West Bengal has repeatedly lied about funds provided by the Center and Give false numbers and mislead the people.

Speaking to ANI, Dilip Ghosh said: “The WB government has repeatedly lied and given false figures (about funds provided by the Center to state governments) to mislead the people. What I want to say is that today Everything is in the public domain, including what the central government is doing, what it provides and how much the state governments get.”

“The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India has exposed a scam worth Rs 229 crore and the state government is yet to respond to it. That is poor people’s money. The WB government should answer this question first,” the BJP leader said People say.

This comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday attacked the Trinamul Congress government in West Bengal and said many projects had not been completed on time despite record funding from the Centre.

“The TMC government here is not allowing central schemes to be implemented in West Bengal. Setting up medical colleges is the identity of the BJP. We want to set up a medical college in every district of the country. But the TMC government is not allowing us to Bang does this. Despite record funds being provided to West Bengal, many projects were not completed on time due to the TMC,” Prime Minister Modi said while addressing a public rally in Cooch Behar on Thursday.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday lashed out at the Congress and Trinamool Congress, saying that while he called for eradication of corruption, opposition parties including the Congress and Trinamool Congress called for saving “corrupt leaders”.

Prime Minister Modi also attacked the TMC government in West Bengal, saying it had tried its best to protect the accused in the Sandesh Khali incident that shocked the state, and said only the BJP can stop atrocities against women.

Prime Minister Modi said the BJP was determined to ensure that the accused in the Sandesh Khali incident were punished.

He also accused the Trinamool Congress government of not allowing implementation of central schemes in West Bengal, adding that despite the Center providing record amounts of funds to the WB government, many projects have not been completed on time.

This is Prime Minister Modi’s first rally in West Bengal after the Election Commission of India announced the general election voting schedule on March 16.

The BJP has been attacking the Trinamool Congress party over the incident in Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Local women have accused suspended TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan and his aides of excesses, land grabbing and sexual assault.

Shahjahan Sheikh, who has been remanded to the custody of the Enforcement Directorate till April 13, was searched by officials of the Directorate while probing the money trail in the alleged ration distribution scam. )’s residence was attacked.

West Bengal has 42 assembly constituencies.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) won 22 seats, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 18 seats and the Congress won 2 seats.
