Ayodhya Ram Temple: After 21 years, finally Aligarh man will break his vow, eat proper food

Satyadev Sharma left his hometown about 37 years ago.

He had vowed that he would not eat properly until Ram temple was built in Ayodhya.

Ram temple will be consecrated in Ayodhya on 22 January. People from across the country have been invited to attend the ceremony. The day of Ramlala’s consecration in the Ram temple of Ayodhya is slowly approaching. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ayodhya on this special day. Many important rituals have started on 16 January. The matter of the disputed site has been going on for many years. In the last few years, stories of many people have come to light who have taken a pledge to build Ram Temple. One such devotion was done by Satyadev Sharma in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, he had vowed that he would not eat food properly until Ram temple was built in Ayodhya and Ram Lalla was seated in the temple.

According to reports, Satyadev Sharma left his hometown about 37 years ago and now runs an old age home in Jawahar Nagar, Aligarh. About 21 years ago, he had a dream in which Lord Shiva had said that the temple of his beloved Shri Ram would not be built in Ayodhya. After this, Satyadev Sharma took an oath that he would not eat properly until the Ram temple was built in Ayodhya. Now when the temple is being built and it will be consecrated on 22nd January, Satyadev will keep fast till that day and then have food at the end. He is survived by three sons, a wife, a daughter-in-law, a granddaughter and a grandson, but he stays away from all this and spends his time serving in old age homes.

In an interview, Satyadev told that he is staying away from his family. He revealed that he has not eaten properly for 21 years. He has kept a fast and will eat food first when Ram temple is built. He said that Lord Shiva is with him. He said that he has not eaten flour, rice or pulses. He survives only on fruits.

Apart from this, he is surviving by eating raw bottle gourd (loki). Earlier he used to drink lemon water by mixing some sugar and some peanuts in it. All this has helped him survive. He also thanked PM Narendra Modi for taking the initiative to construct Ram temple.
