AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita is the best person to keep the party united in the current scenario and claimed that her presence had a “positive impact” on the cadre.

Bharadwaj, who is also a cabinet minister in the Delhi government, said in an interaction with editors of news agency PTI at the agency headquarters that Sunita Kejriwal has been saying that she is the friend of the Delhi chief minister who is currently in jail. “Messenger”.

Pointing out that a party’s politics does not just revolve around its manifesto, Bharadwaj said the support base and emotional connect between the cadre and the top leadership also play a crucial role in keeping the organization united.

“Sunita Kejriwal’s presence has had a positive impact,” he added.

“She is delivering Arvind Kejrivarji’s message. This has a big impact on our party cadre and our sympathizers. We want to spread it. In the current scenario, she is the one who is keeping the party The best person for unity,” Mr. Bharadwaj said.

Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case related to the Delhi government’s now-repeated GST policy, has been in judicial custody till April 15.

His wife has so far given three digital briefings in which she read out information about him in Enforcement Directorate custody and Tihar jail.

On March 31, she made a political debut by reading out his message at the India Group ‘maharally’.

When asked if Sunita Kejriwal will campaign for the party in the Lok Sabha polls, he said: “We will be happy if it happens…if Sunita ji does contest campaign, but that was her personal decision.”

When further asked whether Sunita Kejriwal was sending some kind of “message” after her husband’s arrest, the minister gave a negative reply.

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh was also arrested in the GST policy case and was released on bail on Wednesday. Immediately after his release from prison, he met Sunita Kejriwal, who was seen touching her feet.

Talking about the matter, the minister said that if someone’s brother is in trouble, it is his duty to take care of his family.

“This is our culture. BJP says fights will break out among party members after Kejriwal’s arrest. Sanjay Singh considers Arvind Kejriwal a member of his family, his elder brother . So, he touched her (Sunita Kejriwal) feet. We are working on it as a unit, as a family,” he said.
