Apple Vision Pro hits the streets of Bengaluru; man spotted wearing headphones worth Rs 3 lakh

After the Vision Pro mixed reality headset was released in the US, the internet was flooded with videos and images of early adopters making bizarre gestures and appearing in various public spaces (subways, restaurants, streets, etc.). Please wear headphones when placing. Many observers consider it a “dystopia” similar to scenes from the Netflix series Black Mirror.

Although the headphones are currently only sold in the United States, the viral content mainly originates from the United States. Surprisingly, the trend has now spread to India after someone was spotted wearing a $3,499 mixed reality headset on the streets of Bangalore, India’s Silicon Valley.

Ayush Pranav shared a photo on X (formerly known as Twitter) that captured a young man wearing an Apple Vision Pro on the streets of Indira Nagar. He mentioned, “Bumped into @waitin4agi_ while playing with his vision guru on the streets of Indiranagar,” and added, “Must have been a @peakbengaluru moment.”

While this is to be expected, it’s worth noting that these expensive headphones are priced at a premium in India. Independent investigations found that offline retailers in cities such as New Delhi and Jaipur were selling the 256GB version for more than 400,000 rupees (about $4,800), significantly exceeding the retail price in the United States.

However, as the headphones gain wider acceptance, these sightings are expected to surge in metropolitan areas as more people use them.

Regarding the official launch, Apple has not revealed any indication whether the earphones will be launched in India soon.
