Anne Hathaway shares insights into her decision to quit drinking and her health journey over the past five years in a thought-provoking conversation.
During the interview vanity fairIn 2015, she bravely revealed her experience with miscarriage.
Hathaway admitted that giving up drinking was a key part of her personal transformation.
“I knew deep down that this wasn’t for me,” she admits, reflecting on her choice to give up drinking. “It feels so extreme to have to say, ‘But no? But no,'” she added.
She emphasized that her decision was not based on judgment of others, like respecting allergies or anaphylaxis.
“So I won’t argue anymore,” she concluded. Hathaway highlighted the positive changes she experienced after giving up drinking, noting that for her it was a catalyst for personal growth.
“Everything has gotten better,” said the 41-year-old, who attributed her decision to her dislike of “indulging” and a desire to be more involved in life.
“My last hangover lasted five days,” Anne revealed, highlighting the toll excessive drinking had taken on her.
Additionally, she said she planned to resume drinking if circumstances allowed, but stressed that her first priority was the welfare of her children.
