An elderly poet from Uttarakhand’s Pantnagar collapsed and died on stage after suffering a heart attack while performing at a poetry festival.

A video of the incident, which gained attention on social media, shows him suddenly collapsing on top of a man sitting behind him as he recited a poem.

according to a india today According to reports, the poetry festival was held at the Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in the UK to pay tribute to the brave Indian soldiers and was named “Pantnagar Kavya Mahotsav”.

The poet, Subhash Chaturvedi, was rushed to a district hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Later, his body was taken to his ancestral home in Mathura.

The deceased was an assistant accountant at Pantnagar University, retired in 2014 and was a resident of Jawahar Nagar.
