“We heard from the people and scientists that they had been promised (the PPP’s sixth timetable) and when we reminded them (of their promise),” Raj told reporters after meeting Wangchuk at the protest site , they view them as criminals.”
“They (politicians) make big promises and create false hopes at election time but then when they accept our votes they will not look back for the next five years. They have nothing to do with us and we are fools for believing them words,” Raj said.
He said the only way is to unite, raise our voices and seek answers from the government and its promises because it is the right of the public.
“If they promise in their manifesto and get votes but are later betrayed, where will we go? We have to fight for our rights,” Raj said.
