The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today called for a “gathering” at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence to protest against the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The BJP also plans to launch counter-protests demanding Kejriwal’s resignation.

  1. All AAP MLAs and officials will gather at the party headquarters this morning and then march to the Prime Minister’s residence, officials said. Meanwhile, the BJP’s mega procession will be led by Delhi Chief Virendra Sachdeva from the Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium to the Delhi Secretariat.

  10. The Aam Aadmi Party chief was arrested on Thursday and the next day Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court remanded him to the custody of the investigating agency till March 28. The central agency accused the AAP leader of being a “conspirator”. ED believes that the now-defunct policy provided high profit margins of nearly 185% to retailers and 12% to wholesalers.
