New Delhi:

As the AAP prepares to hold a protest against the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Traffic Police has made special arrangements to restrict the movement of vehicles in the heart of the national capital.

In an announcement, traffic in central Delhi will be affected and parking will not be allowed on Tughlaq Road, Safdarjung Road and Kemal Ataturk Marg.

AAP will protest against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrest of Kejriwal at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence.

Kejriwal was arrested by central agencies in connection with an alleged money laundering case related to Delhi’s now-defunct excise tax policy. He will be detained until March 28.

The advisory stated that due to special law and order arrangements, traffic in the New Delhi area will be affected.

“To ensure smooth traffic management in New Delhi area, no vehicle shall be parked or parked anywhere on Tughlaq Road, Safdarjung Road and Kemal Ataturk Marg and the general public shall not enter and vehicles shall be found parked Vehicles on the said stretch of road should be towed and prosecuted for improper parking and failure to comply with lawful directions.”

If necessary, traffic will be diverted from Aurobindo Chowk, Tughlaq Road, Samrat Hotel roundabout, Gymkhana Post Office roundabout, Teen Murti Haifa roundabout, Niti Marg roundabout and Kautilya Marg roundabout.

The traffic police also asked commuters to avoid Kemal Ataturk Marg, Safdarjung Road, Akbar Road and Teen Murti Marg.
