Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee hit six sixes in one match during the T20I match against Qatar in the ongoing ACC Super Cup 2024 His name goes down in history. He is now the third cricketer after India’s Yuvraj Singh and West Indies’ Kieron Pollard to hit six sixes in T20Is. He is also the first-ever cricketer to hit two consecutive sixes in T20Is. Aly also hit six consecutive sixes against Mongolia at the 2023 Asian Games, although the feat was accomplished in two different overs.

Airy, batting at No. 5, scored 64 in 21 innings, which included 7 sixes and 3 fours. He hit six sixes against Kamran Khan. Nepal posted 210/7 in 20 overs against Qatar, who also struggled with the bat.

Against Mongolia, the Nepali batsman broke three different world records at the 2023 Asian Games. While most of the batsmen scored easily, the standout performer was Dipendra Singh, who scored six consecutive 50s, among the fastest T20I 50s in international cricket. Nepal then scored over 300 runs in the match and became the first team in the history of the sport to score 314/3 in 20 overs.

19-year-old left-handed batsman Kushal Malla hit the fastest T20I century in the history of the sport, reaching triple figures in 34 balls. In the process, he surpassed the record shared by David Miller and Rohit Sharma. The South African and Indian batsmen had previously scored 50 runs in 35 balls.

The third-ranked Malla hit 12 sixes and eight fours to remain unbeaten on 137 and helped Nepal record its highest-scoring T20I total of 314 against Mongolia, which opted to field.

Then came fifth-ranked all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee, who rewrote the record books with a 9-ball 50 to beat Yuvraj Singh A record that stood for 16 years. Yuvra’s half-century against England in the ICC World T20 in 2007 saw him score 58 runs in 50 matches with 12 balls to his name. Yuvra also hit six consecutive sixes against Stuart Broad.
