18-year-old student goes missing in Kota, Rajasthan, second incident in seven days

An 18-year-old NEET youth went missing after going to a coaching institute in Kota, Rajasthan, around 7 am on Saturday.

According to reports, the student named Yuvraj is a native of Thika district and is currently preparing for the NEET entrance exam at a private coaching center. india today.

Yuvraj left his hostel in Transport Nagar area at 7 am on Saturday for his institute. The teenager’s whereabouts have been unknown since then. The report also said the boy left his phone at the hotel.

Just a week before the incident, another student, Rachit Sondhya, a native of Madhya Pradesh, went missing from the coaching centre.

The 16-year-old JEE aspirant left his hostel to attend a routine test and has been missing ever since. Police said he was last seen on CCTV entering a forested area. Sondhya has been coaching for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) at Kota College for over a year.

Sandia left her hostel room in the Jawahar Nagar police station area for a routine check-up on Sunday noon. In the CCTV footage, he can be seen traveling in a taxi. Police said he was last seen entering the forest area from where he reached the Galadia Mahadev Temple.

Sondhya’s bag, mobile phone, room keys and other belongings were recovered near the temple on Monday evening, DSP Bhawani Singh said, adding that police and SDRF teams were conducting search operations but the teenager was still missing.

The parents of the JEE aspirant reached Kota on Sunday evening and lodged a missing complaint as they could not contact their son as his mobile phone was switched off, police said.

The DSP said that according to family members, Sondhya was worried about his excessive use of mobile phones which would distract him from studies and he had reportedly locked his phone twice in the past to quit the habit.
