Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ninth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Thursday, March 28 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Led by captain Sanju Samson, Royals started their IPL campaign on Sunday with a 20-run win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at home to start 2024 on a strong note year season. RR are ranked second in the IPL 2024 points table with two points.

On the other hand, the Rishabh Pant-led Capitals will be looking to bounce back after defeating Kings XI Punjab (PBKS) by four wickets at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Saturday.

DC are yet to open an account and currently sit ninth in the IPL 2024 points table.

RR prediction eleven

Yashasvi Jaiswal

In the first match, flamboyant opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed a quick 24 off 12 balls against LSG. Jaiswal hopes to blitz again Thursday against Washington, D.C.

Himron Heitmeyer

West Indies batsman Shimron Hetmyer will retain his place in the Royals starting XI despite losing the first match. The 27-year-old scored 300 runs in 14 games last season at a strike rate of 152.28 while averaging 37.50.

Dhruv Urel

Dhruv Jurel impressed for Royals against LSG in Jaipur. Jurel batted at No. 6, knocking 20 runs off just 12 balls to push RR to a strong total. He will aim to continue his good form against a star-studded DC bowling line-up.

Ravichandran Ashwin

Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was expensive against Lucknow Supergiants. Although Ashwin took the huge wicket of Marcus Stoinis, he conceded 35 runs in four overs. However, he will play a key role in D.C.’s starting lineup alongside a number of lefties.

Sandeep Sharma

Veteran right-arm pacer Sandeep Sharma bowled brilliantly in his debut match for RR. The Patiala-born cricketer took the huge wicket of LSG captain KL Rahul on Sunday with figures of 3-0-22-1. He hopes to add to his scoring tally against Washington, D.C.

Avish Khan

India international Avesh Khan provided economy for RR in the IPL 2024 opener. The 27-year-old right-arm fast bowler finished with some excellent bowling in Sunday’s match, finishing with figures of 3-0-21-0. He aims to pick some wickets in the upcoming matches.

Trent Bolt

Freshman Tristan Stubbs also returns to the Pavilion with a low score in his Washington debut on Saturday.
