YouTuber quotes Prime Minister Rajnath Singh’s ‘forged letter’ to support claims of Sridevi’s death: CBI

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against a self-proclaimed investigator, saying she “fabricated” a case involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh (YouTube video) Letters from senior dignitaries to support her claims about the death of actor Sridevi.

Last year, the CBI filed a case against Deepti R Pinniti of Bhubaneswar and her lawyer Bharath Suresh Kamath following a complaint by Mumbai lawyer Chandni Shah, and the Prime Minister The office is transferred to the agency.

The Mumbai-based lawyer alleged that Pinnitti produced several documents that appeared to be forged. These include letters from the prime minister and defense minister, as well as documents related to the Supreme Court and UAE government records.

The accused woman from Bhubaneswar has been actively participating in social media discussions regarding the deaths of Bollywood actors like Sridevi and Sushant Singh Rajput.

Responding to a PTI query, Pinniti expressed disbelief and said: “It is difficult to believe that the CBI has filed charges against me without recording my statement… Moreover, the evidence will be placed before the court when charges are filed… .” She said: “When these letters incriminate the authorities to which the CBI is affiliated, the CBI becomes a party to the conflict and becomes the entity collecting the evidence.”

Sridevi passed away in February 2018 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

She made sensational claims about Sridevi’s death, including saying in an interview that there was a “cover-up” between the two governments based on her “investigation.”

On December 2 last year, the CBI conducted a search warrant at her residence in Bhubaneswar and seized digital devices including mobile phones and laptops.

According to the CBI report submitted to the special court, investigations revealed that the documents she submitted in YouTube discussions regarding the Prime Minister and Defense Minister were “forged”. The agency has filed charges against her and Kamath under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 465, 469 and 471.

Mumbai lawyer Shah said in the complaint, “The suspect Deepti Rani Pinniti has time and time again maligned the image of the current government and bizarrely accused the government of being behind the death of Sridevi…”.
