16th Finance Commission Chairman Arvind Panagariya on Friday said he will cast his vote for the first time when Delhi goes to polls on May 25.
“Young people are not the only ones voting for the first time. After 50 years of eligibility, I am excited to vote for the first time this election season. Can’t wait for the day when Delhi votes!!” he said in the post X on.

Mr. Panagariya is Professor of Economics and Jagdish Bhagwati Professor of Indian Political Economy at Columbia University, USA. He served as First Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog from January 2015 to August 2017.
Panagariya was born in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, in September 1952. He was appointed chairman of the 16th Finance Commission in December last year.
