Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said Congress’s “cunning tactics” were responsible for India’s partition seven decades ago.

In a public address at the Drummond International College campus, the Chief Minister also praised India’s remarkable progress towards global status under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hailed it as a “golden era”.

He emphasized that “changes across the country are evident in terms of enhanced security, rapid infrastructure development, and welfare programs reaching disadvantaged groups.”

Chief Minister Yogi urged support for BJP candidates Jitin Prasad from Pilibhit and Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar from Bareilly. He also extended his warmest wishes to Chaitra Navratri and the Indian New Year.

Reflecting on the historical significance, Chief Minister Yogi spoke of the unity symbolized by Guru Nanak Dev’s birthplace, which he claimed had been marred by political divisions in the past. He, however, hailed the establishment of the Kartarpur Corridor under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as proof of India’s commitment to Sikh heritage and unity.

“Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Veer Bal Diwas celebrations on December 26 to commemorate the valor of the four saints of Guru Gobind Singh,” he said. The CM noted that Pilibhit enjoys dual reputation for agricultural and artistic heritage and stressed that sugarcane growers play a vital role in bringing the sweetness of the region to the country and beyond.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have worked hard to ensure that farmers receive their dues on time, escaping from the long delays they faced earlier. This development marks a positive step towards resolving the long-standing grievances of sugarcane farmers,” he said.

The First Minister highlighted the transformative impact of responsible voting and warned against the dire consequences of misplaced votes.

He drew attention to the successful construction of Ram Lalla Temple in Ayodhya and attributed this milestone to the leadership and vision of Prime Minister Modi. The chief minister urged support for the BJP candidate and stressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to realizing the vision of a developed India.

Looking back on the past decade, he highlighted the tangible changes that have occurred across the country, emphasizing the critical role of individual votes in shaping the nation’s trajectory.
