The world’s oldest man died two months before his 115th birthday.

Despite surviving two world wars and the tormenting Covid-19 pandemic, Venezuelan legend Juan Vicente Pérez Mora sadly passed away “beyond eternity” last night, The Sun reports “.

In May 2022, the Guinness Book of World Records (GBWR) recognized the former farmer’s long-term victory, making him the oldest living person.

He leaves behind a large family of 11 loving children, 41 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

His death was confirmed by Freddy Bernal, governor of his home state of Tachira, Venezuela.

“Our dear Juan Vicente Pérez Mora, today it is with deep sadness and pain that we say goodbye to you, a typical man from Tachira,” Bernal said. He was humble, hard-working, peaceful and passionate about family and tradition.”

“Together with my wife and children, we are excited and proud to meet him and share him with his loved ones,” he added.

Born on May 27, 1909, Juan lived through the invention of television, mobile phones and the Internet.

He was only 51 years old when he took his first black and white ID card photo.

He also has a nickname “Tio Juan”, which translates into English as “Uncle Juan”.
