Fadnavis, in a letter to Sharad Pawar on Friday, said he could not accept the invitation as he would be attending important programs on March 2.

Opposition leader Sharad Pawar had invited Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and two deputy chief ministers, including his nephew Ajit Pawar, for dinner at his residence in Baramati during his visit on March 2.
In his letter, Sharad Pawar wrote, “The CM is coming to Baramati for the first time after taking oath as the CM of the state and I am very happy about his visit to participate in the Namo Maharozgar program in Baramati.” Therefore, I would like to extend an invitation for a meal at my residence with my other cabinet colleagues after the program.”
Shinde will be attending a job fair, ‘Namo Maharozgar Melawa’, along with his deputy Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, all political rivals of Sharad Pawar, on the campus of Vidya Pratisthan College in Baramati town in Pune district.
The surprise invitation by the senior Pawar to Shinde and the two deputy CMs comes in the backdrop of divisions in the NCP, the party he founded in 1999, and strained relations with his nephew Ajit Pawar, who parted ways with him and joined Shiv. Army-BJP government in July last year.
