The ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season has been a feast of runs so far. SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) entered the history books as the 2016 champions posted the highest score in IPL history (277/3), surpassing Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s previous best score of 263/5. In the last match, Pat Cummins broke his own record by posting 287/3 against RCB who almost completed an incredible chase. Eventually they were restricted to 262/7. However, it was a lower-scoring match between Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals, with the latter chasing the meager 90-run target in just 8.5 overs. During the GT collapse, fans spotted a doppelgänger of Hollywood actress Ana de Armas enjoying the action from the stands.

The video of a fan believed to resemble Ana de Armas has gone viral on social media.

GT registered their lowest ever IPL score – 89 – and skipper Shubman Gill admitted that the batsmen completely lost their strategy, leading to their humiliating defeat at home.

“Our batting was very average. Need to move on from this game and come back with the same mentality before the next game. The wickets were not bad. If you see us getting dismissed – me, Saha and Sai – It’s about the court,” Gill said after the game.

On the contrary, DC captain Rishabh Pant was delighted after his team registered back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

“There is a lot to be happy about. We talked about championship mentality and our team also talked about that. I think we just want to enjoy one win at a time. They don’t come easy but you have to enjoy every moment,” Pant said said at the post-match award ceremony.

“Definitely one of the best (DC’s bowling efforts in IPL 2024). It’s still early days in the game and we can still improve from here. The only talk is to get it (chase) early because we lost some NRR Points were in some of the other games we lost,” he added.
