WhatsApp will soon let you add polls to channels.

Have you ever wanted to post a poll on your channel for your followers to vote? Don’t worry, WhatsApp is bringing the same for both iOS and Android users.

2023 was a big year for WhatsApp, with a number of new features for users. One of the new features is Channels, which lets creators share photos, videos, text, and links with their followers in a one-way broadcast. However, one important thing that the Channels feature was missing until now was the ability to include polls.

Now WhatsApp is testing the ability to create polls in channels as part of its latest WhatsApp for iOS beta update, version 24.1.10.76, WABetaInfo reports.

It is worth noting that this feature was rolled out for beta testers on Android last week. This addition makes it easier for channel owners and administrators to gauge interest in a specific thing, collect feedback, and interact more seamlessly in the channel feed.

To see if you have this feature, open the Chat Attachments menu in your channel. WhatsApp also lets you limit polls to a single option by turning off the multiple answer option.

Furthermore, the voting process is anonymous, and channel creators cannot identify who voted for a particular category or position, ensuring the confidentiality of the votes. This channel creates a worry-free space for followers to express their opinions and vote on a specific topic without any worries.

With wider availability, the feature is rolling out to WhatsApp beta users on both iOS and Android. A stable build containing the feature may be released soon for all users.

In other news, WhatsApp users will be able to create their own stickers within the app itself. With this feature, you can edit an existing sticker by selecting the ‘Edit sticker’ action. You can also create stickers from your images. Additionally, users will be able to remove the background of an image without using third-party tools or native iOS and Android features. The feature was spotted in WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.1.10.72 and is currently only available to a limited number of beta testers.
