Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Chairman Somanath on Wednesday said the space program has established “indigenous capabilities” in the space domain, adding that they have their own plans and approaches to decide how to exploit this capability in the future.

S Somanath today visited Kalam Academy of Youth Excellence in Hyderabad and facilitated the students.

“The space program has built indigenous capabilities in space by building our rockets, satellites and applications to serve the nation in both civilian and strategic domains. We have done that. Today, we are a force to be reckoned with in space Power We have our own plans and ways to decide how to deal with the future. This is the power we have today. Now, with the opening of the space sector and the influx of private companies and start-ups, this sector will “Economic activity in the space sector growing. That’s changing now,” he said.

Further, S Somanath said that Kalam Youth Academy of Excellence has been working hard to inspire the youth.

Earlier, European Space Agency (ESA) Director General Josef Aschbacher appreciated the recent successful launch of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and said India’s achievements in space, especially lunar exploration, ” Shocking”.

Aschbach published a thank-you article on X after ESA hosted the 323rd Council Meeting in Paris, which was attended by ISRO Chairman S Somanath.
