Kailash Nagar, Sarai Kale Khan, Jal Vihar, Lajpat Nagar, Moolchand Hospital, Greater Kailash, Vasant Kunj, Deoli, Ambedkar Nagar, Okhla, Kalkaji and Govindpuri are the areas in the city that will be affected.

Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on Tuesday said that due to installation of flowmeter and some maintenance work at Sonia Vihar Water Treatment Plant, various areas of Delhi will experience disruption in water supply on January 18 and 19.

“Due to installation of flowmeter and other maintenance works in South Delhi Rising Main at Sonia Vihar WTP, water supply to South Delhi Main from Sonia Vihar Water Treatment Plant will be affected for 16 hours. “Water supply will not be available from 10 am on January 18 to the morning of January 19,” read the notice.

Other areas where water supply will be affected for 16 hours from January 18 are Shyam Nagar Colony, Okhla Sabzi Mandi, Amar Colony, Dakshin Puri, Panchsheel Park, Shahpur Jat, Kotla Mubarakpur, Sarita Vihar, Siddharth Nagar, Apollo, Malviya Nagar. , Chhatarpur and some parts of NDMC area.

The board has advised residents to store adequate water, and tanker services will also be available on request.

To request water tanker services from the Board, Delhi residents can dial the following water emergency helplines: Central Control Room (011-23538495), Greater Kailash (011-29234746), Vasant Kunj (011-26137216), Jal Sadan ( 011-29819035) and RK Puram (011-26193218).

Apart from water supply, the board has issued an advisory in selected areas regarding annual flushing and cleaning of underground reservoirs and booster pumping stations on January 17 and 18.

These areas include Jangpura, Lajpat Nagar, Bhogal, Rohini Sector 11 and 20-25, Vasant Kunj D-2, Vinay Marg, Akbar Road, Sarojini Nagar, Chanakyapuri, Shanti Path and Sujan Singh Park.

18 January

Kilokari, Siddharth Extension, and surrounding areas, Badarpur, and parts of Okhla.
