CCTV footage of a jewelery store in Hyderabad has grabbed attention on social media with the dramatic video showing three masked men robbing the store at knifepoint.

The incident took place at around 1:30 pm on Wednesday at a jewelery shop in Akber Bagh, Chadghat. According to reports, the robbers escaped with gold jewelry weighing about 150 grams that was on display in the store.

a report on times of india The owner’s son was the only person in the store at the time of the robbery, police were quoted as saying. Officials said the owner, Mohammed Ur Rehman, had entrusted the store to his son, Shaji Ur Rehman.

According to reports, at about 1:30 pm, the robbers broke into the store, attacked Shaji, who was unconscious on the ground, and put the jewelry on the bicycle they came from and left.

Chaderghat SHO Y Prakash Reddy said the accused must have observed the shop and found it an easy target as the victim was alone and there was not much public movement.

When the store owner showed him the decorations, another man wearing a hat and a cloth covering his face broke into the store and attacked him. In the video, the man can be seen climbing on the counter and attacking the store owner with a knife.

The report also said the store owner had been taken to hospital with stab wounds and police were looking for the three men.
