Vivo X Fold 3 to launch in India soon, becoming country’s thinnest foldable phone

Vivo X Fold 3 was recently launched in China along with Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. The base version is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and packs a 5,500mAh battery with support for wired fast charging. The book-style foldable smartphone features an 8.03-inch 2K primary display and a 50-megapixel triple rear camera system. The phone is currently expected to launch in India. Although there is no official confirmation yet, the Indian version is expected to have similar specifications to the Chinese version.

The base version of Vivo X Fold 3 may be launched in India soon, according to 91Mobiles Report, it added that the model will be “the thinnest foldable in the industry.” It is worth noting that the thickness of Vivo X Fold 3 is 10.2 mm when folded. The Indian variant of the phone is also likely to feature the same measurements. In China, Vivo X Fold 3 has been launched with an 8.03-inch 2K E7 AMOLED main display and a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover screen with a resolution of 1,172 x 2,748 pixels and ultra-thin glass (UTG) protection. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS4.0 built-in storage. The phone runs on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14.

In terms of optics, the Vivo X Fold 3 comes with a triple rear camera unit that includes a 50-megapixel VCS Bionic primary sensor, a 50-megapixel sensor paired with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and another 50-megapixel portrait shooter. The cover and main display each have a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The phone is equipped with a 5,500mAh battery and supports 80W wired fast charging. Unfolded, the phone weighs 219 grams and measures 159.96mm x 142.69mm x 4.65mm. Dimensions when folded are 159.96mm x 72.7mm x 10.2mm.

Vivo X Fold 3 price in China starts at CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs. 80,000) for the 12GB + 256GB option, while the 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB variants are priced at CNY 7,499 (approximately Rs. 87,800) and CNY 7,999 (Approximately Rs. 87,800). . 93,600) respectively.
