Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya was booed yet again by the crowd during their IPL 2024 match against Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. Hardik has been receiving some negative reactions from MI fans since replacing Rohit Sharma as captain. Things got worse as MI lost three consecutive games in the competition, but the team has made a slight recovery with two wins in the past few games. Virat Kohli was unhappy with the crowd booing Hardik during the last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore and asked them to cheer him and remember that he plays for the Indian cricket team .

However, Kohli’s request seemed to be in vain as Hardik was once again booed by the fans and loud chants of “Rohit Rohit” were heard before the match started.

Hardik, meanwhile, won the toss and was selected to play against the Chennai Super Kings.

“We want to bowl first and the dew will work. It (the pitch) looks better than the last game and a lot of runs are expected. Need to stick to the basics. Winning is very important to gain momentum. We can be convincing Winning two games, that’s the beauty of IPL, your team will be able to achieve the goal (in the last game) and the dew will be heavier.” Hardik said during the toss.
