Gangavaram Sneha and Battina Venkatnandu met while pursuing a diploma in veterinary science at a college in Narasaraopet district of the state. They became friends, fell in love and got married on April 13 at the famous Durga temple in Vijayawada.

After the marriage, they went to Sri Venkatnandu’s house and his family elders decided to organize a formal ceremony on 21 April. Ms. Sneha’s family was also informed and invited.

Veerababu, one of the groom’s relatives, has reportedly been seriously injured in the clash and has been admitted to the Rajamahendravaram Government Hospital.

Speaking about the incident, Ms Sneha said, “My mother, my brother and cousins ​​came and threw chilli powder on people nearby to try to kidnap me.”
