Uzbek woman found dead in Bengaluru hotel, police suspect foul play

Bangalore:

Bengaluru police are investigating the mysterious death of a 37-year-old Uzbek woman at a hotel in the city. The woman, named Zareena, was found dead in her room at Jagadish Hotel in Bengaluru’s Seshadripuram area.

Zareena arrived in Bengaluru four days ago on a tourist visa.

Police said hotel staff knocked on Zareena’s second-floor room at 4.30pm yesterday. After receiving no response, they opened the door with a master key and found her dead.

The hotel manager immediately reported the incident, and the police opened a case of mysterious death.

Police said the investigation was ongoing but initial evidence suggested foul play. They believe Zarina was suffocated to death and sent her body to Bowling Hospital for an autopsy.

The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, accompanied by a police dog unit, carefully combed the room looking for any traces of evidence that could unravel the mystery of the case. The hotel’s CCTV and registers are being checked to see if anyone visited Zarina’s room on Wednesday.
