A helicopter crash in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand killed five people and others were seriously injured, Garhwal Divisional Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey confirmed ANI on Thursday.
The incident took place in the border district of Uttarkashi near Ganganani. It consisted of a helicopter carrying six passengers and its captain.
The scene of the accident site showed the interior of the chopper.
According to Pandey, as soon as the news of the accident reached the authorities, relief and rescue teams were mobilized and reached the site to assist and provide medical help in rescue operations.
The cause of the accident has not been determined yet.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that SDRF and district administration teams have reached the place for relief and rescue work.
“I have instructed the administration to provide all possible help to the injured and investigate the accident,” he said. (AI)
